Job summary

UNAVAILABLE seeks a Cloud Engineer to join our DevSecOps practice in McLean, VA. You will drive cloud migration, optimization, and deployment initiatives, leveraging IaC, automation, and secure coding practices.

You will collaborate with DevSecOps engineers and developers to ensure compliant, scalable cloud solutions and contribute to continuous improvement through process enhancements and cross-training.

Qualifications

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance.
• 5+ years of experience architecting, designing, developing, and implementing cloud solutions.
• Experience with cloud platforms and DevSecOps tooling.

Responsibilities

• Identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the customer.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
• Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developers.
• Automate and improve configuration, provisioning, deployment, and release processes.
• Test and examine code written by others and analyze results.
• Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
• Identify technical problems, perform root cause analysis, and develop software updates and 'fixes'.
• Work with software developers and DevSecOps engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
• Support enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure through infrastructure as code including automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing.
• Document as-is state of the environment, perform a gap analysis, and produce artifacts that articulate options and recommendations.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
• Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members.
• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided.
• Present regular status updates and provide cross training to other team members
