Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems at NASIC seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and automate AWS and Azure environments for mission-critical analysis at Wright-Patterson AFB. You will lead IaC, CI/CD, and security-by-design practices across multi-cloud platforms.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance and hands-on experience with Terraform/OpenTofu, Ansible, and Git-based pipelines, working with DoD RMF compliance and DevSecOps methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s with 3+ years.
• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in DevOps, software development, or systems administration.
• 1+ year of cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, OpenTofu, Ansible).
• Strong experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins).
• Experience with Linux operating systems and core cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale secure AWS and Azure landing zones and shared services for NASIC workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply least-privilege access, logging, auditing, and automated backups.
• Collaborate with cyber, networking, and application teams to meet DoD RMF requirements.
• Mentor engineers to drive DevSecOps practices.
