Job summary

Northrop Grumman invites applications for a Principal / Sr. Principal Cloud Engineer to lead design, implementation, and automation of secure AWS and Azure environments for NASIC at Wright-Patterson AFB.

You will apply DevSecOps practices to deliver scalable cloud capabilities and ensure mission-critical analytics support. Responsibilities include building landing zones, enforcing least-privilege access, and collaborating with cyber, networking, and application teams to meet DoD RMF and STIG

Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years experience or a master’s with 3 years.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, OpenTofu, or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins, or cloud-native pipelines.
• Experience with Linux operating systems and core cloud services (VMs, storage, networking).
• Experience with distributed version control systems (Git).

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale secure AWS and Azure landing zones and shared services for NASIC workloads.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and Git-based CI/CD pipelines.
• Apply least-privilege access, centralized logging, auditing, and automated backups across cloud environments.
• Collaborate with cyber, networking, and application teams to meet DoD STIG/RMF requirements.
• Mentor and collaborate with engineers to drive DevSecOps best practices.
