Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in Cloud Native Computing Foundation technologies and a passion for DevSecOps. You will design and deploy scalable automation, work with Kubernetes on prem and in the cloud, and help advance GitOps patterns for internal tools.

You will mentor teammates, own sandbox environments, and collaborate across teams to accelerate onboarding of Cert DevOps technology, while balancing priorities in a hybrid

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree with minimum 5 years relevant experience or an advanced degree with 3 years of experience.
• Experience with Cloud Native Computing Foundation technologies: Docker / Containers, Kubernetes.
• Experience with Source Control Management: GitHub or GitLab, Git.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable deployments using Cloud Native technologies and best practices.
• Gain production experience with Kubernetes in private on‑prem and public cloud environments.
• Develop and maintain DevSecOps pipelines and automations.
• Build internal tools for engineers to enable world-class automations and UX.
• Mentor and onboard teammates; manage sandbox environments for incubation.
• Collaborate across teams to accelerate adoption of Cert DevOps technology.
