Job summary

Pandell is seeking a Senior DevOps/Cloud Engineer to lead design, implementation, and optimization of hybrid cloud and on‑prem infrastructure. You will drive automation, observability, and cost efficiency across AWS/Azure/GCP environments and VMware platforms, mentoring engineers and owning major cloud initiatives.

The role requires 8+ years of experience, strong IaC, CI/CD, and security collaboration. Hybrid work, 2–3 days on-site at our Georgia office, and strong leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 7–8+ years in DevOps/Cloud/Infrastructure.
• 5+ years managing Windows, Linux, and SQL-based systems in enterprise environments.
• Strong enterprise data center knowledge: storage, networking, security infrastructures.
• Hands-on with at least one major cloud provider (AWS preferred).
• IaC experience with Terraform or CloudFormation.
• VMware (vSphere/ESXi/vCenter) and Docker/Kubernetes in production.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Architect and maintain cloud-native and hybrid infrastructure via IaC.
• Drive automation across provisioning, deployment, monitoring and recovery.
• Build observability platforms with Datadog for metrics, logs and traces.
• Set monitoring, SLOs, and alerting to improve reliability and MTTR.
• Own cloud cost optimization and FinOps initiatives.
• Implement configuration management (Ansible/Puppet/Chef).
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers; contribute to standards and docs.
• Lead disaster recovery planning and testing.
• Collaborate with security to enforce best practices.
