Job summary

Varsity Brands is seeking an experienced DevOps/Cloud Engineer to help support mission-critical web apps and CI/CD workflows across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments. This hybrid role involves 4 days in the office in Farmers Branch, TX and 1 remote day, collaborating with Development, Networks, and Security teams.

You will design scalable infrastructure, implement IaC/CaC, automate deployment, monitor performance, and drive security improvements while staying current with cloud and DevOps

Qualifications

• Strong experience in DevOps with automated web environments.
• Collaborative attitude and willingness to mentor and learn.
• Experience automating applications on public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
• Experience with on-premises virtualization solutions (Nutanix, VMware).
• Experience using as-code infrastructure and server automation tools (Terraform, Docker, Packer, Ansible, PowerShell DSC).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Solid knowledge of cloud computing, networking, Linux, Windows, and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Design infrastructure to meet availability and performance requirements.
• Implement IaC/CaC and automation tools to enable deployment and maintenance.
• Manage cloud and on-premises integration for seamless operations.
• Define and monitor performance metrics and cost projections.
• Lead workshops to share knowledge and improve practices.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud and on-prem environments.
