SAIC is seeking a Database Administrator Sr to join a high-performance team. The role centers on VA data migration to the cloud and ongoing DBMS support, with a 100% remote environment and autonomy in a cloud database ecosystem.

You will install, configure, monitor, and optimize Oracle and SQL Server databases, implement backups, ensure security, and work with developers and admins to resolve issues. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in database administration with Oracle and SQL Server.
• Experience in backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning.
• Strong SQL, PL/SQL, and query optimization skills.
• Cloud database experience and disaster recovery planning.
• Ability to work remotely with autonomy and collaborate with a client.

Responsabilités

• Install, configure, and upgrade DBMSs.
• Create and manage tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
• Monitor and optimize database performance and tuning.
• Develop backup and recovery strategies and run drills.
• Enforce database security policies and user access controls.
• Collaborate with developers and admins to resolve issues.
• Maintain documentation and operational manuals.
