Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud-native data platforms powering transactional processing, analytics, and BI. You’ll work with AWS services (Aurora, RDS, S3), Snowflake, and modern data tooling, ensuring high availability, performance, and cost efficiency while collaborating across data, engineering, and product teams.

The role emphasizes mentorship, IaC, and CI/CD practices, with on-call responsibilities and a focus on reliable data access

Qualifications

• Five or more years in cloud-based data infrastructure or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services and modern data platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (Python, Shell).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS using Aurora, RDS, S3, and Snowflake.
• Operate core data systems across ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration layers.
• Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, observability, IaC, and CI/CD automation.
• Support and scale distributed data systems (PostgreSQL/Aurora, Snowflake, Kafka, caching).
• Partner with analytics and AI teams to enable self-service data access.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
• Troubleshoot production issues and drive platform improvements.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response when required.
