Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale robust cloud-native data platforms powering online transaction processing, analytics, machine learning, and BI. You will work with AWS (Aurora, RDS, S3) and Snowflake, ensuring high availability, security, and cost efficiency.

You will collaborate with data, engineering, and product teams, mentor junior engineers, and help drive IaC, CI/CD, and performance optimizations across environments.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in Cloud based Data Infrastructure or related roles.
• Five+ years of hands-on experience with AWS Data Services (Aurora, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, Athena).
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL/Aurora and Snowflake or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in SQL and scripting/programming (Python, Shell).
• Hands-on experience using Terraform and GitLab to build CI/CD pipelines for data infra automation.
• Experience optimizing database performance and handling high-throughput data systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS (Aurora, RDS, S3, Snowflake).
• Implement and operate data systems across ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration.
• Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Apply best practices in data modeling, observability, IaC, and CI/CD automation.
• Support scaling of distributed data systems across environments.
• Collaborate with application, analytics, and AI teams for self-service data access.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in design reviews.
