Job summary

Lyric is seeking a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale cloud-native data platforms powering online processing and analytics. You’ll work with AWS services like Aurora, RDS, and Snowflake, shaping ingestion, transformation, and storage layers, while championing reliability, observability, and secure data access.

You will collaborate with data, analytics, and product teams, provide technical mentorship, and help optimize performance and cost across environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years in Cloud data infrastructure or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Data Services (Aurora, RDS, S3, IAM, Lambda, Glue, Athena).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/Aurora and Snowflake or similar platforms.
• SQL proficiency and scripting (Python, Shell).
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines for data infrastructure automation using Terraform and GitLab.
• Experience optimizing database performance and handling high-throughput data.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data infrastructure on AWS (Aurora, RDS, S3, Snowflake).
• Implement and operate data systems across ingestion, transformation, storage, and orchestration layers.
• Ensure reliability, performance, availability, and cost efficiency of data platforms.
• Promote best practices in data modeling, observability, IaC, and CI/CD automation.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in on-call rotations when needed.
