Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent with 5+ years in a technical role or 8+ years in a technical role
• 5+ years cloud data development/engineering with Azure or AWS; hands-on Snowflake deployment
• 5+ years data pipeline development and BI implementations; expertise with Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Precisely
• Business-focused mindset with adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain cloud data pipelines, architectures, and data sets for ETL, real-time, and streaming using Kafka and Precisely alongside Snowflake structures
• Develop and optimize PySpark ETL jobs for S3-to-Aurora data loading with metadata-driven mappings and metrics
• Create and manage AWS Lambda functions and EventBridge schedules to orchestrate pipelines and alerts
• Develop and optimize Aurora PostgreSQL schemas, procedures, and real-time/batch load processes; troubleshoot data issues
• Build and optimize PostgreSQL DB replication, real-time reporting pipelines, and indexing
• Implement governance and data lifecycle management across dataFlow within UMB
• Design and support Kafka topics, partitions, retention, and access controls; maintain producers/consumers with ordering
• Mentor team members with senior architect; apply cloud expertise to modernize tech and analyze data trends
• Evaluate data for anomalies, trends, and correlations across datasets
• Create models and standards for data collection, storage, and utilization
