Job summary

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is seeking a Senior Data/Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouses. You will work in a team-oriented setting across multiple business lines, delivering secure, efficient data solutions using Agile/DevOps methodologies.

You will design and implement data transformations, analytics, and dashboards with tools like Tableau and PySpark, while collaborating with stakeholders across the Fed System.

Qualifications

• 6-15+ years of relevant experience depending on level.
• Bachelor's degree in STEM from an accredited college/university.
• Recent accomplishments in SQL on PostgreSQL/MySQL for data querying/manipulation.
• Advanced analytics for Tableau dashboards and reports.
• Experience with AWS data warehouse solutions and deployments.
• Proficiency with GitLab for project/version control.
• Experience with Databricks, Collibra, and Starburst.
• Experience with Python and PySpark.
• Familiarity with Jupyter notebooks and testing.
• Knowledge of modern data stack (S3, Spark, Airflow, Lakehouse, Redshift/Snowflake).
• Senior to advanced knowledge in the discipline.

Responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, analyze, and validate data for storage and use.
• Configure and test data processes to meet governance and quality standards.
• Ensure data integrity with QA practices across data elements.
• Perform data activity reviews and prepare findings reports.
• Develop and update data policies, processes, and standards.
