Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Data Engineer / Cloud Data Architect with 12+ years of experience to design, build, and optimize enterprise-scale data solutions. You will lead end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehouses across banking and insurance domains, leveraging Spark, Hive, Snowflake, and cloud-native tech.

The role requires strong SQL, Python, R, and orchestration skills, plus CI/CD with Jenkins and Git.

Qualifications

• Experience in ETL/ELT development using Talend, DataStage, Spark, Hive, and SQL-based frameworks.
• Expertise in designing enterprise data integration solutions and data migration strategies.
• Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, and R.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, and Snowflake.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop, and implement end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines with robust error handling, monitoring, and audit capabilities.
• Build and optimize enterprise data warehouses, data marts, and data lake architectures.
• Develop and maintain scalable data solutions using SQL, Python, and cloud-native technologies.
• Design and implement data models for OLTP and OLAP systems.
• Develop and optimize data processing solutions using Spark, Hive, Kafka, Hadoop, and Snowflake.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate deployment processes using Jenkins and Git-based version control systems.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and performance optimization across enterprise platforms.
