Delta Dental of California seeks a Senior Data Architect to design and implement scalable, cloud-native data solutions. You will translate business needs into architectures, collaborating with IT leadership and business partners to enable new capabilities in our data platform and scale for growth.

The role focuses on end-to-end data architectures, governance, security, interoperability, and scalable pipelines, with emphasis on AI/ML enablement and data sharing across domains.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in modern cloud data architecture or related fields.
• Deep understanding of modern data and analytics platforms and technologies.
• Experience designing enterprise data solutions including data warehousing/lakes/lakehouse.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into scalable data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of end-to-end data solutions.
• Define target-state data architectures, data flows, and storage strategies.
• Establish and govern standard data ingestion, transformation, and interoperability patterns.
• Architect scalable data pipelines and cloud-native architectures.
• Enable AI/ML capabilities through data architectures and production workflows.
• Incorporate governance, security, privacy, and compliance by design.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to define roadmaps and solution strategies.
• Provide architectural oversight and governance for data platforms.
• Drive innovation through POCs and evaluation of emerging technologies.
