Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Principal Platform Architect to lead observability, automation, and architectural strategy for the Mayo Clinic Platform (MCP). You will guide cross-functional teams, shape the technical roadmap, and promote standards in CI/CD, IaC, and reliability engineering.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Infosec, and Compliance, and drive best practices across vendor partners to improve system resilience while supporting clinical systems in a complex healthcare

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field; 10+ years of direct full-stack engineering or 5+ years in a principal engineer role.
3-5 years of project management, system architecture, and design.
3-5 years working with Agile software development.

Responsibilities

Own the MCP Observability and Support strategy and road mapping; design, maintain and improve architecture used by other teams to manage system health.
Establish automation patterns for vulnerability management and remediation tracking.
Support and advise the execution of the MCP technical roadmap.
Drive maturity of MCP Technology systems by launching campaigns to promote adoption of new tools, processes and standards.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by reviewing and updating processes and automation.
