Job summary

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Software Engineer to own software testing and quality for a portfolio of data-centric clinical and analytic applications. The role involves back-end services, cloud-based micro-services, and collaboration with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to translate requirements into robust code.

You will build automated test suites, participate in DevOps and Agile practices, and work with Go, Python, Java, and other modern languages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field or an Associates’ degree with 2 additional years experience.
• 1+ year or more coding experience in high-level languages (C, C++, Go, Java, C#).
• Strong problem solving and time management skills.
• Experience with modern application development frameworks and agile practices.
• Experience with cloud environments (Google/Azure) and data-oriented services.

Responsibilities

• Own software testing and quality for data-centric clinical and analytic applications.
• Develop and maintain automated test suites; ensure uptime and accuracy of cloud-based micro-services.
• Collaborate with data engineering, platform, and solutions teams to translate requirements into code.
• Work with Product Owners/Managers to design and implement features and frameworks.
• Engage in DevOps, CI/CD and infrastructure automation using supported tools.
