Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to help State and Local Government in the Southeast accelerate cloud adoption from Atlanta, GA.

You will own technical engagements, define architectures, respond to RFPs, and collaborate with sales to drive deployments of AWS services. This role requires strong communication, security expertise, and travel up to 30%. You will mentor teams, publish best practices, and contribute to customer-facing materials while shaping deployment

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains such as software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security or networking.
• 3+ years designing/implementing in applications and infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries.

Responsibilities

• In partnership with Sales, formulate and execute a strategy to exceed revenue objectives through AWS adoption.
• Lead building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform.
• Educate customers on AWS value and participate in deep architectural discussions for cloud deployment.
• Conduct training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS Solutions Architect community.
• Contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Service Teams and Support.
