Job summary

Peraton is seeking a seasoned cloud engineer to design, implement, and secure AWS-based solutions across the development lifecycle. You will work with teams to deploy modular cloud systems, manage environments, and apply IaC with Terraform or CloudFormation.

This role requires a TS/SCI with polygraph and a strong background in security guidelines and data protection. You will collaborate with engineers to optimize cloud solutions and ensure robust, scalable deployments.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with relevant polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree + 8 years of experience, or Master's +6, or PhD +3.
• Hands-on AWS experience (SNS/SQS, EC2, S3, etc.).
• 4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Planning, designing and developing cloud-based applications (AWS).
• Managing cloud environments with security guidelines.
• Deploying cloud initiatives across the development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
• Collaborating with developers to evaluate optimal cloud solutions.
• Configure and monitor Linux installations and shell scripts.
• Create and configure secure AWS resources and data flows with NiFi.
• Transform data between formats (JSON/XML) as needed.
