Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Cloud Engineer with an active TS/SCI clearance to design, build, and secure cloud-based applications on AWS across the full development lifecycle. You will partner with cross-functional teams to implement scalable, compliant solutions and to optimize cloud resources and automation.

Responsibilities include designing modular cloud architectures, deploying secure AWS resources, and integrating data flows with NiFi while ensuring cybersecurity best practices are followed.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree + 5 years of experience, or master's degree + 3 years.
• 4 years of additional experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Hands-on AWS, Linux, programming and network/cybersecurity experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and develop cloud-based applications in AWS.
• Manage cloud environments per security guidelines.
• Deploy and debug cloud initiatives across the development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
• Identify and solve issues proactively.
• Evaluate new cloud technologies for the enterprise.
• Collaborate with developers to identify optimal cloud solutions.
• Configure and monitor Linux installations and scripts.
• Create and configure secure AWS resources.
• Configure high-volume data flows using NiFi.
• Perform data transformations between formats (JSON/XML).
