Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a senior technical specialist in Seattle to own strategic AWS solutions architectures for enterprise accounts and drive deep technical engagements across multiple verticals.

You will lead architectural discussions, educate customers on AWS value, and guide migrations to cloud-native or hybrid deployments while building strong executive relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
• 5+ years of database (eg. SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) experience.
• 7+ years of consulting, design and implementation of serverless distributed solutions experience.
• 5+ years of software development with object oriented language experience.
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent) experience.
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the AWS Business development team to help formulate a strategy to help the adoption of AWS within the focus industry verticals.
• Guide customers to ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services following the principles of the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
• Help educate enterprise customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
• Help provide one-to-few and one-to-many training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
• Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architecture community.
• Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as blogs and whitepapers.
• Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, service engineering teams and support.
