Job summary

Northwestern University seeks a Senior Clinical Trials Manager to oversee highly complex studies within the MED-Clinical Trials Unit. You will guide day-to-day operations, resource planning, and timelines, ensuring milestones are met while maintaining GCP/IRB/FDA compliance.

Build collaborations with affiliates, CROs, and sponsors; supervise research staff; coordinate audits with NU IRB, sponsor, and FDA. On-site 3–5 days/week is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in social or health science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master’s degree in a related field preferred; strong supervisory experience.
• Supervisory or project management experience required.
• NU IRB CITI training completed and recertified every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist with determining goals, objectives, outcome measurements, and metrics for clinical research programs.
• Direct actions to ensure high-quality clinical research standards across partner programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and supervise clinical research staff across partner programs.
• Provide complex scientific and technical leadership in study design and execution.
• Involved with study start-up, conduct, close-out, and audits.
