Job summary

Northwestern University seeks a senior research lead to manage complex biomedical and behavioral studies, coordinating multiple investigators and sites. You will ensure adherence to GCP and regulatory standards, oversee budgets, mentors staff, and contribute to publications and grant submissions.

The role requires supervisory experience, advanced degrees in health sciences, and IRB/CITI training. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success in this multi-site, high-budget

Qualifications

• Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor’s degree in a major such as social or health science or related; OR a master’s or higher and related experience.
• Master’s or higher in a major such as social or health science or related; OR appropriate combination of education and experience and 3 years’ research experience.
• Supervisory or project management experience is required.
• Must complete NU's IRB CITI training before interacting with participants and re-certify every 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides complex scientific and technical leadership in determining research priorities and the plan, design and execution of research projects.
• Plans, develops and implements new processes and protocols to support research studies and maximize study capabilities.
• Oversees completion of study activities per protocol.
• Ensures study protocols comply with regulatory requirements and reviews progress to recommend revisions.
• Reviews scientific literature and evaluates techniques and procedures.
