Job summary

Nicklaus Children’s Health System seeks a Contract Specialist to facilitate preparation and execution of contracts with pharma, biotech, academic institutions and physician practices. You will coordinate HRPP/OSP processes to ensure contracts are clear, fair, and legally binding.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (or related) and 2–4 years of contract negotiation experience; JD or advanced degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field required.
• 2–4 years of contract negotiation experience required.
• JD or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience in pediatric clinical research preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and international research regulations preferred.
• Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint; excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensures clinical research activities comply with applicable regulations and policies.
• Creates, drafts and reviews contractual agreements and grant documents.
• Reviews contracts and provides comments on terms including AAHRPP language.
• Prepares contract approvals timelines and leads follow-up for approvals.
• Negotiates terms and engages with General Counsel as needed.
• Maintains contract tracking and filing; updates internal stakeholders.
• Uses CTMS and EMR systems; supports study profiles and financial tracking.
