The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a Medical Practice Specialist, Sr to serve as the Clinical Practice Manager. This role leads the Pediatrics Clinical Practice Team, overseeing revenue-generating operations, provider billing workflows, and financial/operational analysis.

It involves collaboration with division chiefs and executive management to plan new clinical opportunities and implement revenue-improving strategies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 9+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
• Completed degree(s) above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Pediatrics Clinical Practice Team and oversee clinical practice operations.
• Manage provider billing workflows, clinical productivity, and revenue performance.
• Analyze complex clinical, financial, operational data to identify opportunities and implement solutions.
• Develop and maintain SOPs to improve charge capture and billing processes.
• Supervise staff supporting documentation reviews, billing sheets, reporting, credentialing, and onboarding.
