Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking an Associate Director Clinical Development Project Manager to oversee CMT project management from charter through closeout. You will standardize planning, governance, and reporting, partnering with functional leads and the broader PPM organization to ensure timely, compliant delivery across complex programs.

You will maintain PM artifacts, manage risks and issues, and produce executive updates, dashboards, and lessons learned, while promoting GSK values and advanced

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a matrix team environment, ideally within pharma/biotech R&D or clinical development.
• Experience building and maintaining core PM artifacts (charters, scope statements, WBS, RACI, RAID logs).
• Experience with governance and reporting tools (MS Project, Planisware, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience facilitating governance and producing status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Project Charter and Scope Statement for the CMTs and lead kickoff materials.
• Build and maintain Stakeholder Register, Communication Plan, and Governance Calendar for clear updates.
• Create and maintain CMT plan with milestone schedule and critical-path activities.
• Own the RACI Matrix and Governance Framework across functional leads.
• Maintain Risk/Issue logs, RAID, Dependency Tracker and drive timely resolutions.
• Produce recurring Status Reports and Project Dashboard for leadership visibility.
• Develop Quality/Compliance checkpoints and Change Log to ensure regulatory adherence.
• Lead monthly governance meetings and ensure consistent agendas, actions, and minutes.
• Promote GSK codes and values and foster cross-functional collaboration.
