Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking an Associate Director Clinical Development Project Manager to lead CMT program management across early‑to‑late‑stage development. You will own charters, scopes, risk logs, dashboards, and executive updates while partnering with functional leads to drive on‑time delivery.

You will work in a hybrid model in the US, coordinating across clinical, regulatory, biostatistics, medical, and commercial teams, with a focus on oncology trials and PM process maturity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, nursing, pharmacy, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of project management experience in a matrix team environment, ideally within pharmaceutical/biotech R&D or clinical development.
• Experience building and maintaining core PM artifacts (charters, scope statements, WBS, RACI, RAID).
• Experience with PM tools (MS Project, Planisware, Smartsheet, Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Experience facilitating governance and project team meetings for steering committees.

Responsibilities

• Lead CDP‑level PM activities across Clinical Matrix Teams (CMTs).
• Develop and own project charters, scopes, and governance artifacts.
• Manage risk, issues, dependencies, and dashboards for leadership review.
• Prepare status reports, executive summaries, and KPI‑based progress updates.
• Facilitate monthly governance meetings and enforce PM system rigor.
