Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Consultants with life sciences software programming experience to optimize EDC in clinical trials. You will help configure Veeva CDB, program SQL-based listings, and support internal and customer teams in a remote, customer-facing capacity.

The role emphasizes collaboration with sponsors, CROs, and data providers, plus travel up to 10% for engagements. Eligible candidates have 5+ years in EDC and strong data management skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software in end-to-end data management.
• Knowledge of clinical trial processes related to data collection and review.
• Experience programming with SAS, R, JSON, Python or SQL and willingness to learn more.
• Life sciences or related degree with strong documentation and data management skills.
• Customer-facing experience in software services or consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to ensure study design meets customer goals and train users.
• Review protocols, understand project specs, and apply industry best practices.
• Drive database development per project plans with sponsor, CRO, and vendors.
• Collaborate with data providers to receive data and configure transfers.
• Configure forms and rules in CDMS and develop custom listings with SQL.
• Lead on-site or remote UAT, collect feedback, and resolve issues.
• Support go-live activities and ensure smooth transition of the study.
• Communicate risks and contingency plans to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Contribute to product/process improvement initiatives and assist testers.
• Participate in Vault CDMS PM discussions to convey data needs and expectations.
• Configure and support data ingestions into Veeva CDB.
