Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Migration Consultant to lead end-to-end data migrations for Vault CDMS in a remote, customer-facing role. You will interpret legacy structures, transform data, and validate SQL-based listings while coordinating with Sponsors, CROs, and cross-functional teams.

Required 5+ years in EDC, programming in SAS/R/Python/SQL, and a life sciences background. Travel up to 10% is expected; Veeva offers flexible work arrangements and strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software covering end-to-end data management.
• Solid understanding of clinical trial processes, especially data collection and review.
• Programming in SAS, R, Python, or SQL with ability to learn new SQL-based languages.
• Life sciences background (pharma, biotech, CRO, or related) with project lifecycle experience.
• Experience in a customer-facing role within software professional services or consulting.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while meeting timelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%, potentially international.

Responsibilities

• Partner directly with Sponsors and CROs to interpret legacy structures and data mapping requirements.
• Perform data transformation, mapping, and script validation on large datasets from legacy platforms.
• Lead end-to-end data migration delivery across active clinical trials per project plan.
• Develop and configure validation scripts and SQL-based listings for data integrity and auditability.
• Provide feedback to Vault CDMS & DQS product teams based on migration challenges and data bottlenecks.
• Contribute to reusable migration tools, mapping templates, and automation, mentoring juniors.
