Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a data analytics professional to lead multi-project initiatives in a fully remote capacity. You will collaborate with clients to define business needs, develop analytic approaches, and create population definitions for healthcare data analyses.

Required: a health-related bachelor's or RN, 2 years in a health setting, and strong data management skills. Experience with ECQM and healthcare metrics is a plus, with BI reporting using multiple data sources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in health-related field or RN required.
• 2 years of experience in health-related field required.
• Experience with healthcare data in a healthcare organization strongly preferred; ECQM and quality metrics experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Directs and executes multiple, concurrent projects independent of or with little supervision from leadership.
• Leads the evaluation of the request for service to understand business and technical issues with the client.
• Collaborates with the department's client to understand business needs, project scope, and deliverables.
• Leads ongoing client interface to develop analytic approaches to the request.
• Develops population definitions to meet project needs.
• Recommends processes to balance data needs with urgency and requirements.
• Understands data context and aligns with other initiatives to create sustainable solutions.
• Applies statistical techniques to describe and evaluate data; uses analysis tools for presentation to management.
• Provides value-added analysis and recommended follow-up actions.
• Supports data integration from multiple sources into a single dataset for analysis.
• Leads review and validation of complex, custom datasets specific to the project.
• Prepares to deliver results in a way that meets ongoing needs and facilitates data interpretation.
• Develops reports using various BI tools and educates clients on clinical and financial concepts as they relate to data.
• Guides clients through data issues and data quality considerations across source systems.
