Job summary

HistoSonics is seeking a Sr. Clinical Applications Specialist to onboard and coach new commercial team members in histotripsy procedures. You will bridge classroom education with field application, ensuring safe, confident performance across onboarding cohorts.

You will travel up to ~70% to customer sites for hands-on training, competency validation, and clinical mentorship, shaping scalable onboarding and clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in clinical discipline strongly preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in clinical applications, clinical education, medical affairs, or post‑market clinical support within medical devices or interventional medicine.
• Background in diagnostic medical sonography and/or RDMS certification is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of image-guided procedures, treatment workflow, and physician training models.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret clinical data, evaluate safety trends, and communicate complex clinical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, including translating clinical evidence into field‑ready guidance.
• Ability to travel (approx. 70%) to support field insight gathering, training, and Medical Affairs collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Execute the field immersion phase of onboarding with hands-on procedural coaching and real-world case exposure.
• Develop clinical competency and field readiness of new hires through coaching and experience.
• Coach new hires on clinical workflow, physician interaction, imaging optimization, and treatment planning.
• Conduct structured competency evaluations and provide developmental feedback.
• Maintain onboarding documentation in the LMS and track progress.
• Identify gaps and create individualized development plans for onboarding.
• Recommend readiness for independent field deployment after assessments.
• Collaborate with clinical training to support foundational and advanced training.
