Job summary

Trane Technologies seeks an Executive Project Developer to lead strategic project development across North America in a virtual capacity. You will guide regional teams, evaluate complex financials, and align project objectives with executive priorities.

You will mentor multidisciplinary teams, communicate with senior stakeholders, and champion innovation in building technologies and resilience solutions. This role requires travel across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.
• 8+ years of experience leading development of complex energy/infrastructure projects.
• Experience directing multidisciplinary project development teams through opportunity qualification and contract execution.
• Strong understanding of building systems and energy management.
• Ability to lead diverse teams without direct authority.
• Willingness to travel across North America.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic project development across North America.
• Oversee high-profile, complex opportunities and audits.
• Support regional teams through opportunity qualification, audit planning, solution development, financial evaluation, risk management, customer engagement, and contract execution.
• Collaborate with Project Developers, Sales teams, Energy Engineers, and Operations leaders to strengthen project development capabilities.
• Provide coaching, mentoring, technical guidance, and project leadership support for complex opportunities.
• Drive project strategy and customer alignment across stakeholders.
• Support executive presentations, customer workshops, and strategic planning discussions.
• Promote deployment of standard work, tools, processes, and best practices across North America.
• Encourage knowledge sharing, capture lessons learned, and identify opportunities for consistency, quality, and productivity.
• Incorporate advanced technologies, building analytics, geothermal, digital solutions, AI-enabled tools, electrification strategies, and resilience-focused solutions into projects.
