Job summary

SEI Oaks is seeking a Specialist II on the CIT Finance team to oversee audits and related controls for its Collective Investment Trusts. You will coordinate audits with external auditors, liaise with fund administrators, and help implement policies and controls across the CIT book of business.

The role requires strong accounting knowledge, experience with fund operations, and collaboration across internal teams to meet regulatory and client needs. SEI emphasizes development and inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• BS/BA degree in accounting, finance, business or related field, or the equivalent in education and work experience.
• CPA, MBA or MS Accounting/Finance or advanced degree desired.
• Minimum of 5 years of fund accounting, operations experience, audit, risk management or compliance experience a plus.
• Knowledge and awareness of applicable laws, rules and standards of Investment Management industry, including GAAP.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of risks and controls in order to independently develop and implement audit programs.
• Experience with alternative investment vehicles is also ideal.
• Project management experience is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office tools.
• Knowledge of CITs and the regulatory structure governing CITs is desired.
• Self-starter with outstanding decision-making skills.
• Good oral and written communications skills.
• Detailed oriented and the ability to work independently or with team members to meet deadlines.
• Regular and reliable attendance in accordance with position, business and/or client needs.

Responsibilities

• Coordination and oversight of CIT audits.
• Assist with the engagement of Big 4 accounting firms to audit the financial statements of SEI’s CITs, including approval by the Board.
• Represent the CIT team on recurring calls involving auditors and other key internal and external stakeholders to oversee each audit cycle and ensure deliverables and release dates are met.
• Coordinate any other deliverables in connection with the audits: management representation letters, auditor inquiries, Fin48 memo, going concern memo, and legal letters.
• Assist with fund liquidation audit process.
• Act as liaison with internal and external fund administrators / accounting providers regarding matters impacting the CIT book of business.
• Help design and institute appropriate policies, procedures, and controls.
• Ensure operational errors are escalated and remediated promptly as per procedures.
• Support and oversight of fees and expenses, including revenue reporting and the implementation of fee changes.
• Monitor and report on fund accounting provider service levels.
• Facilitate the initial and ongoing vendor reviews of internal and external fund accounting providers for approval by Trust Operations Committee.
• Exercise appropriate levels of professional oversight to ensure risk-mitigated enhancements.
• Support management with projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members to support client needs as they arise.
