Job description

Overview

The Investment Manager Services Division (IMS) at SEI is growing rapidly and is seeking new members for its Investment Fund Services accounting team. Our primary goal is to provide exceptional accounting and administration servicing for our clients’ assigned mutual funds, CITs, ETFs and other pooled vehicles. As a Fund Accountant Manager, you will oversee the accounting operations and resolution of accounting issues for a variety of clients.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the main contact for clients, utilizing expertise in domestic and international fund accounting operations for mutual funds, CITs, ETFs, and other pooled vehicles. Manage the team supporting the daily accounting operations of your assigned funds, support annual audits, coordinate/onboard new funds and clients, and liaise between clients, external service providers and internal teams to ensure procedures and controls are followed and accurate Net Asset Values (NAVs) are provided.
  • Act as a manager of the accounting and key fund administration functions, providing information to the Financial Reporting team for the preparation and coordination of the annual and semi‑annual financial statements; preparing and reviewing SEC filings (e.g., N‑PORT, N‑CEN); assisting the Tax team with distribution calculation and tax reporting processes; assisting Treasury Services with annual fund expense budgets and quarterly updates, including reviewing expense payments; and preparing and reviewing Board‑related materials.
  • Ensure due diligence and attention to detail during the review process of operational work, striving for error‑free accounting and reporting; sign off on NAVs, reconciliations, revenue packages, dividend distributions, and other fund administration items.
  • Communicate with external investment managers regarding day‑to‑day fund inquiries and resolve issues impacting funds as necessary. Client engagement and a dedication to quality service is a must for success.
  • Conduct performance appraisals, hold monthly one‑on‑one meetings with team analysts and supervisors, and provide career pathing and training.
  • Ensure staffing requirements are met by participating in interviews and hiring processes.
  • Foster a team environment, including individual development, promotions, and disciplinary action.
  • Support new business development and relationship teams for prospect calls, client visits, and presentations.
  • Facilitate onboarding of new and converted clients by gathering client requirements, submitting custom requests, and communicating key deliverables to the team.
  • Participate in IMS and corporate professional development sessions, learn new concepts and systems, and apply them to daily work to identify processes across the division and organization.
Qualifications
  • BA or BS in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics or equivalent professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the fund services industry.
  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proficiency with fund accounting software.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent leadership, planning, time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Self‑motivation, organization, and drive to complete multiple client deliverables in a timely manner without sacrificing quality.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Drive to broaden knowledge of the financial services industry and apply new concepts and systems.
  • Attention to detail, collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, adaptability, positivity, curiosity, and critical thinking.
  • Ability to embody SEI’s values of courage, integrity, collaboration, inclusion, connection and fun.
Benefits
  • Healthcare (medical, dental, vision, prescription, wellness, Employee Assistance Program, Flexible Spending Account).
  • Life and disability insurance with premium coverage.
  • 401(k) plan with matching contributions.
  • Education assistance and tuition reimbursement.
  • Commuter benefits and discounted stock‑purchase plan.
  • Paid holidays (up to 11 per year) and PTO (21 days per year prorated for new hires).
  • Paid parental leave, backup childcare arrangements, and paid volunteer days.
  • Hybrid working environment and flexible paid time off.
  • Access to employee networks and additional employee assistance resources.
