Job summary

Community-Financial-System,-Inc. is seeking a Senior Trust Tax Accountant to oversee tax compliance and reporting for investment entities, including CITs and LLCs. You will partner with Finance, Operations, Legal, and external advisors to ensure accurate tax reporting and robust controls.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of trust taxation experience, strong knowledge of Form 990-T, K-1 reporting, and withholding tax recovery, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust taxation, partnership taxation, investment fund taxation, or related tax compliance functions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of partnership and LLC taxation, Form 990-T, Schedule K-1, and withholding tax recovery processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance activities for LLCs, CITs, and other investment entities, ensuring federal, state, local, and international requirements are met.
• Manage preparation, review, and timely filing of tax returns, including Form 990-T and other regulatory filings.
• Oversee withholding tax recovery, reclaim processes, and coordinate with custodians and service providers.
