Job summary

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) provides business insurance, employee health & benefits, retirement, and private client insurance solutions. As a Senior Account Manager on the Business Insurance team, you will manage client relationships, provide coverage analysis and risk management recommendations, and negotiate with carriers to drive growth.

You will mentor Client Service Associates and contribute to proposals and billing resolution while leveraging MMA’s scale and local presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain in 90 days of employment).
• Insurance designations (INS, AAI, CISR) or demonstrated knowledge of Business Insurance coverages.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to drive growth.
• Provide coverage analysis and risk management recommendations.
• Negotiate coverage and pricing with carriers.
• Prepare proposals and resolve billing issues.
• Mentor Client Service Associates on policy checking skills and coverage knowledge.

A Day in the Life

As a Senior Account Manager on the Business Insurance team, you will manage relationships with clients, prospects, client teams and producers to provide best in class service and drive growth. Key responsibilities include providing coverage analysis, risk management recommendations, negotiating coverage and pricing with carriers, preparing proposals, and resolving billing issues. You will also mentor Client Service Associates by developing their policy‑checking skills and coverage knowledge.

We’d love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Business Insurance
• Property & Casualty license (or ability to obtain in 90 days of employment)
• Insurance designations (i.e. INS, AAI, CISR) or demonstrated knowledge of Business Insurance coverages.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future.

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Working towards CPCU, CIC, ARM, and/or AU designations or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge and ability.
