Job summary

E Source is seeking a senior, client-facing engineer to deploy production-grade AI/ML systems for utility clients. You will own architecture from discovery to go-live, ensuring reliable, monitored deployments that improve client operations.

The role requires 5+ years of experience in production AI/ML, strong Python, and skills across at least one of TypeScript, Scala, or Java. Remote work with travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Five+ years of engineering experience shipping production AI/ML systems.
• Expert proficiency in Python and working proficiency in at least one of TypeScript, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on production experience with a major model provider or open-weights stack.
• Experience designing evaluation frameworks for LLM/ML systems including retrieval-augmented generation or agentic architectures.

Responsibilities

• Embed with client teams to scope problems, design architecture, and deploy AI/ML solutions.
• Lead technical design across retrieval, orchestration, model selection, serving, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Build and integrate retrieval-augmented systems over varied data sources, including legacy platforms.
• Define evaluation criteria with SMEs and harden solutions for production use.
