Job summary

STA Family of Companies is seeking a Class A Maintenance Repair Technician to diagnose and repair buses, concentrating on major engine, transmission, electrical and mechanical problems. Master ASE certification is encouraged, with the goal of maintaining safe, reliable vehicles.

The role requires five years of heavy equipment maintenance experience, a valid CDL Class B, and a DOT physical. Work may be outdoors and involves heavy lifting; safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• ASE Master Certification preferred.
• Minimum five years of heavy equipment maintenance experience.
• Two years technical degree or equivalent desirable.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid Commercial Driver’s License and DOT physical.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses and repairs buses, focusing on engine, transmission, electrical and mechanical issues.
• Performs upgrades and/or modifications on bus systems and equipment.
• Completes preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Documents work in RTA Software; uses CMMS to track parts and costs.
• Assists B and C technicians and adheres to OSHA and EPA standards.
