Job summary

Werner Enterprises is seeking an experienced claims leader to manage and optimize the claims operation from intake to resolution. The role emphasizes team leadership, process improvements, and collaboration with legal and investigators to settle complex claims.

The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting, dashboards, and risk analyses while mentoring a staff of claims professionals to enhance productivity and accuracy across all files.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• AA degree or college coursework preferred.
• Two-three years claims experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Google and Google Sheets.
• Maintain any credentials required to perform functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage, review, and resolve claims, including action decisions and negotiations.
• Oversee administrative, financial, accounting, and reporting for claims.
• Lead staff hiring, oversight, coaching, and training.
• Provide settlements support and litigation collaboration.
• Analyze trends and generate risk and forecast reports.
• Monitor quality control and ensure accuracy across claims.
• Direct complex/ high-exposure files and overall productivity.
