Job summary

Old Republic Bitco is seeking a Senior Claims Specialist to join our Dallas-area team. This hybrid role focuses on Liability claims (Commercial Auto and General Liability), with exposure to coverage, liability, and legal issues, and requires timely investigation and resolution.

You will review policies, prepare rights letters, assess reserves, and coordinate with defense counsel to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience reviewing policies and endorsements.
• Experience investigating claims and assessing liability.
• Strong knowledge of reserve analysis and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to manage settlements and liaise with counsel.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret policy conditions to resolve coverage issues.
• Prepare reservation of rights letters and defense communications.
• Evaluate claim reserves to reflect exposure accurately.
• Investigate claims, interview insureds and witnesses, collect evidence.
• Document investigation work and claims handling actions.
• Negotiate settlements with claimants, insureds, or counsel.
• Coordinate with defense counsel and third parties as needed.
• Stay informed on regulatory requirements and jurisdictional changes.
• Travel between off-site locations as required.
