Job summary

Exelon is seeking a qualified investigator/claims professional to lead third-party claim investigations and complex subrogation matters. You will manage field investigations, document findings, and collaborate with Legal on litigation strategies.

The role emphasizes thorough data review, mentoring of Claims Case Managers, and cross-functional support, with on-call responsibilities during emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4–7 years of investigative, claims or insurance experience, or 6–9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Claims Adjuster license preferred if applicable to location.

Responsibilities

• Direct field investigations of incidents on a 24-hour basis to determine facts and liability.
• Adjust claims, evaluate damages, determine liability, and negotiate settlements as appropriate.
• Assist in onboarding and mentoring Claims Team members and improving data integrity.
• Support site investigations with expert assistance and assist Legal in litigation support.
• Collect and review claims data to respond to internal/external data requests.
• Provide educational and consultative services to internal and external stakeholders.
• Participate in department initiatives and cross-functional investigations as needed.
