Job summary

Markel is seeking a seasoned claims professional to manage moderate complexity Workers Compensation claims across multiple jurisdictions from Plano, TX. You will review policies, analyze coverage, set reserves within your authority, and coordinate investigations while delivering professional service to insureds and collaborating with team members.

Minimum five years in claims handling and an active adjuster or equivalent license are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 5 years of claims handling (or equivalent) experience.
• Adjusters’ license or legal license in at least one jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Handles claims in all jurisdictions.
• Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions.
• Drafts coverage position letters.
• Represents Markel in mediations, as required.
• Provides excellent and professional customer service to insureds while maintaining high production.
