Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• JD, advanced degree, or focused technical degree a plus.
• Must have or be eligible to receive claims adjuster license.

Responsibilities

• Confirms coverage of claims by reviewing policies and documents.
• Analyzes coverage and communicates coverage positions.
• Prepares coverage position letters; refers suspicious losses to SIU.
• Conducts investigations into loss facts and damages.
• Directs assignments to experts and outside counsel.
• Evaluates information to determine insured exposure.
• Sets reserves within authority or recommends reserve changes.
• Negotiates and settles claims typically in litigation within authority.
• Presents at roundtables to senior leaders on trials.
