Markel in Alpharetta, GA seeks a Senior Claims Examiner to resolve moderate to high complexity claims with authority to make decisions within guidelines. You will lead investigations, coordinate experts, and negotiate settlements, while mentoring junior staff.

You will represent Markel at mediations and trials, and contribute to training and development of the claims team in a fast-paced environment. A strong track record in litigation management is preferred.

Competenze

• Minimum 7 years of claims handling experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• JD or advanced degree a plus.
• Must have or be eligible to receive claims adjuster license.
• Industry designations (INS, IEA, AIC, ARM, SCLA, CPCU) encouraged.

Mansioni

• Confirms coverage of claims by reviewing policies.
• Analyzes coverage and communicates positions.
• Prepares coverage letters and refers to SIU.
• Directs investigation into loss facts and damages.
• Negotiates and settles claims within authority.
• Represents Markel at mediations, trials, conferences.
