Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is hiring a Senior Claims Examiner, Casualty, to actively manage high severity commercial casualty claims across the United States.

You will lead coverage analysis, strategy, and negotiations, coordinating with claims carriers, underwriters, defense counsel, and brokers. The role requires 7–10 years of related experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to travel up to 10% for mediations and trials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Proper & active adjuster licensing in all applicable states.
• 7-10 years of casualty claims experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft positions; retain coverage counsel when needed.
• Develop strategy related to coverage issues.
• Resolve indemnity and expense exposures in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with claims staff, underwriters, defense counsel, and brokers.
• Investigate claims and review insureds’ materials and relevant documents.
• Review statutes, rules, and case law across jurisdictions; review litigation materials.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages for reserves; prepare senior management reports.
• Travel to mediations, trials, and other proceedings as needed; negotiate resolutions.
