Job summary

Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner, Casualty for the Middle Market team. You will actively manage commercial claims for high severity general liability and related excess policies across the United States.

Ideal candidates bring strong negotiation skills, technical expertise, and a service-oriented approach in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include reviewing coverage issues, selecting counsel, and presenting findings to senior management.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of casualty claims experience with primary or excess carriers.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Willing to travel up to 10% for mediations and trials.
• Licensed adjuster in applicable states with active status.

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess coverage issues; draft letters and retain counsel when needed.
• Develop strategy related to coverage issues and resolution plans.
• Investigate claims, review materials, and assess statutes and case law.
• Review litigation materials and negotiate resolutions with carriers and counsel.
• Prepare written and oral reports for senior management on reserves.
