Arch Insurance Group Inc. is seeking a Senior Claims Examiner, Casualty, to actively manage commercial claims for high severity and complex general liability, including excess and umbrella policies, across the United States.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of working experience with a primary or excess carrier supporting commercial Casualty claims; construction is a plus
• Active adjuster licensing in all applicable states
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to develop productive relationships
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess coverage issues, draft coverage position letters and retain coverage counsel when necessary
• Develop strategy aligned with the overall strategy of matters entrusted to the handler
• Mitigate indemnity and expense exposures with timely resolution strategies
• Maintain contact with carriers, underwriters, counsel, program managers and brokers to communicate developments
• Investigate claims and review insureds’ materials and pleadings
• Review jurisdictional statutes, rules and case law relevant to each matter
• Review litigation materials including depositions and expert reports
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages to guide reserves and risk transfer decisions
• Retain and direct counsel as needed to support resolution strategy
• Prepare written/oral reports for senior management on issues and reserves
• Travel domestically for mediations, trials and related proceedings
• Negotiate resolutions of claims
• Maintain diaries and respond promptly to inquiries from stakeholders
