You will actively manage commercial claims for high severity general liability and related policies across jurisdictions, leveraging negotiation and technical expertise to deliver service-oriented solutions in a fast-paced environment. Ideal candidates bring 7-10 years of casualty claims experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, a bachelor’s degree and

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of working experience with a primary and/or excess carrier
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Hybrid role in office 3 days a week
• Willing to travel 10%
• Bachelor’s degree and active adjuster licensing in applicable states

Responsabilités

• Identify and assess coverage issues and draft coverage position letters
• Develop and implement strategy relative to coverage issues
• Mitigate indemnity and expense exposures
• Maintain contact with claims staff, underwriters and defense counsel
• Investigate claims and review insureds’ materials and pleadings
• Identify applicable statutes and case law by jurisdiction
• Review litigation materials and expert reports
• Direct risk transfer and indemnity issues
• Retain and direct counsel as needed
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages for reserves
• Prepare reports for senior management
• Travel for mediations, trials and proceedings
• Negotiate resolution of claims
• Maintain diary of claims and reserves
