Job summary

Frederick Fox LLC in Chicago is seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to handle commercial auto and liability claims from start to finish. You will manage a heavy caseload, interview stakeholders, review police reports and medicals, and negotiate settlements with claimants and counsel.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years of P&C claims experience, a bias toward commercial auto, and a license or plan to obtain one within six months.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of P&C claims experience, range considered.
• Experience with commercial auto claims preferred; BI exposure welcomed.
• E&S experience is a plus.
• Valid P&C adjuster license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• College degree preferred but not required; professional designations are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of approximately 120 files across commercial auto and other lines.
• Investigate liability and exposure for bodily injury and property damage claims.
• Interview insureds, claimants, witnesses, and agents; take statements.
• Review police reports and medical records; evaluate claims accurately.
• Negotiate settlements and coordinate with defense counsel on litigated files.
