Frederick Fox LLC in Chicago is seeking an experienced Claims Consultant to handle commercial auto and liability claims from start to finish. You will manage a heavy caseload, interview stakeholders, review police reports and medicals, and negotiate settlements with claimants and counsel.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years of P&C claims experience, a bias toward commercial auto, and a license or plan to obtain one within six months.

Formación

• 3–10 years of P&C claims experience, range considered.
• Experience with commercial auto claims preferred; BI exposure welcomed.
• E&S experience is a plus.
• Valid P&C adjuster license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• College degree preferred but not required; professional designations are a plus.

Title: Claims Consultant – Commercial Auto / Liability Adjuster

Frederick Fox is partnering with an established excess & surplus lines insurance carrier, in business for more than 30 years, that specializes in hard-to-place risks. It's hiring experienced Claims Consultants to handle commercial liability claims from start to finish.

What you’ll do

• Manage a caseload of about 120 files across commercial auto (30–40%) and other commercial lines, with 20–30% in litigation
• Investigate and determine liability and exposure on bodily injury and property damage claims
• Interview insureds, claimants, witnesses and agents, and take recorded statements
• Review police reports and medical records, and evaluate claims accurately
• Negotiate settlements with claimants and attorneys, and work with counsel on litigated files

What you bring

• 3–10 years of P&C claims experience (strong candidates outside that range will be considered)
• Commercial auto experience preferred. Personal auto with bodily injury exposure will also be considered.
• E&S experience is a plus
• A P&C adjuster license, or the ability to get one within 6 months
• College degree strongly preferred but not required. AIC, CPCU or similar designations are a plus.
