Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. seeks a Claims Analyst to handle complex, high exposure bodily injury and property damage claims under Ryder’s self-administered liability program. This role investigates, adjusts, and directs defense counsel, adjusters, experts, and other vendors in the claim-handling process.

You will work with Claim Managers to identify exposures, set reserves, and communicate with legal, safety, and field personnel to resolve claims efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years casualty claims experience.
• Licenses for various states (Adjuster licenses).
• Strong knowledge of property & casualty claims.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Understanding of laws governing US/Canada/PR claims.

Responsibilities

• Investigates and adjusts complex, high exposure claims and directs defense counsel and vendors.
• Identifies exposures and suggests solutions with Claims Manager.
• Maintains knowledge of applicable P&C laws and regulations.
• Communicates with field operations, legal, safety, and carriers to manage claims.
• Sets and updates reserves based on file developments.
• Coordinates with outside vendors for investigations and litigation management.
